About UD
The aim of universal design (UD) is to make learning, in this case learning with technology, accessible for the widest possible number of learners. While the roots of UD are in disability advocacy, the ultimate outcome is that the promotion of full participation for students with disabilities will advance the learning achievement of all students – regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, language, or socioeconomic factors. Accommodations and modifications will continue to be necessary, but with the implementation of concepts and principles of UD, the need is minimized. Research, stories, information, resources, current events, and the latest and emerging technology news is posted on this blog.
